*GIVEAWAY* Oyster eye brightening serum!

The words Beauty and Regime aren’t typically part of my everyday vocabulary. I could play the mummy card, how there’s just not enough time to implement a routine keeping two tiny humans alive is very time-consuming. Now that would be a lie, the truth is I can’t be

Now that would be a lie, the truth is I can’t be BOTHERED.

Having the choice between an extra 10 minutes in bed in the morning or haveing moisturised skin there is no question, the extra time in bed wins hands down. Even before kids I didn’t ever have much of a routine.

Now I’m getting older and sleep deprivation has taken its tolls on my eyes I’m realising that I MUST have some kind of a routine if I want to grow old gracefully.

We were asked by the brand Oyster Skincare if we would like to try their Oyster eye brightening I thought you know what, why the hell not!

Beauty a little out if niche for me but I thought I would make the exception seeing as it’s mainly the endless nights being up with a hungry baby or a crying toddler that have contributed to the eye bags heavy enough to resemble the weekly shop.

Main Ingredients

  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Co-Enzyme Q10
  • Pentapeptides
  • Green Tea

First Impressions

On first impression I did think the bottle was a little on the small side, the serum retails at £19.99 and I think I would expect a bigger bottle for that price. Once I used the serum I soon realised that a little goes a long way.

I have read in other reviews that the serum had a strong if not unpleasant smell. Il be honest here I didn’t really notice too much of an aroma so I’m now slightly concerned that two years of changing smelly nappies may have deadened my sense of smell.

The instructions were a little bizarre, it was very specific:

  • Dispense a small droplet onto your middle finger
  • Break the droplet with another finger
  • Cup your hands and inhale the scent
  • Gently pat a small amount of serum under each eye and along the brow bone

I can confirm that I felt the serum upon application to be quite refreshing, I could instantly feel it working on my skin.

Has it made a difference?

Rome wasn’t built in a day and to be honest it’s going to take some long-term application to brighten up this mummas eyes. I have noticed a slight difference in the brightness under my eyes and I will continue to use the product in my new Beauty regime. If anything just to do something each day that is just for me and me alone.

Fancy getting your hands on a 30 ml bottle of Oyster brightening eye serum?
