Having two babies in 2 Years has really taken it’s toll on my body.
Let’s say it’s not quite as firm as it was before I fell pregnant with Max.
Now Kai is 8 Months old it’s time I get a handle on things.
I had these grand ideas when I was heavily pregnant that I would instantly start exercising and eating well and let’s say those ideas never really came to fruition.
Any form of exercise was a no go, I had a new baby and a toddler to run around after. You can’t predict how sleep deprivation will affect you. Although I coped much better second time round, I wasn’t really up to taking a jog around the block.
Six weeks after Kai was born I attempted Slimming World. I gave up in three weeks, now I realise it was much too soon to be even contemplating any kind of lifestyle changes.
Getting that bit of “me” back was well and truly put on the back burner.
That is until we were contacted by Flex to try out their online workout at home subscription service.
The timing couldn’t be better I was looking around for classes to attend in the evening while the kids were in bed but failing miserably. They were all either at silly times, too far away or just too expensive. Most classes start at £5.00 which is a cost that I can’t really justify.
Flex is an online subscription that is aimed at people who need to or prefer to workout from the comfort of their own homes. At a cost of £9.99 a month it is very affordable. A monthly payment to the gym would easily set you back £20-40 a month.
The site is very clean and easy to navigate. With the option to choose and schedule classes (you can also sync this with your outlook calendar).
One of the great things about Flex is the range of classes available. Living in an area where there aren’t many different classes make it great to have a bit of choice over my workout. From HIIT to Yoga there really is something to suit all levels of fitness.
Admittedly it did take me a few weeks to get in the rhythm of working out at home. When you have children sometimes life can stop you from doing the things we need to do- Like exercising!
The classes are on at all different times during the day, I managed to fit a yoga class in one lunchtime while the boys were napping. As busy parents, we need to fit these things in where we can.
Flex even offer 1 to 1 coaching, they want you to feel supported whilst trying to reach your goals.
If you want to shift some of the baby weight but struggle to get out of the house then I highly recommend Flex. They also offer a month free trial so you can give it a go and see how you get on.
I have a girls holiday coming up in September so I will definitely be fitting this in as part of my regular schedule.
What have you done to “reclaim” your pre-baby body?
