I had this post all planned out to be a ranty one, but then I sat on it and decided there’s no point in ranting and raving about a situation and a person who will never change.
Well who am I kidding, of course it’s ranty!!!
I’m talking about a TAKER!
We all know one, that person who takes, takes takes and never gives back. The one who feel’s the world owes them a living, even though to be fair most of what they have has been handed to them on a plate.
You may have guessed this isn’t one of my usual Max and Kai style posts, this one’s a bit more from the heart. I hope you don’t mind too much, about the change of direction.
There was an incident earlier this week with one of these “TAKERS”, I foolishly asked for help which was pretty bluntly declined, I shouldn’thave been surprised but I was and quite frankly hurt.
To understand this reaction you would firstly need to learn a little bit about me. I’am not (or would like to think anyway) a TAKER I’m definitely a GIVER ( Ok you can get your mind’s out of the gutter now). I would do anything for anyone, if it will help make your life a little easier and is within my remit to do so then I will help.
I hate people feeling left out and always try to include everyone in everything, even when it is not reciprocated. Generally, I would say I’m a good person.
I just need to remember not everybody live by this code. Some are incredibly selfish and just look out for number one.
So how can we deal with these negative influences?
I see only 2 options:
- I let them piss me off for all eternity because let’s be fair a leopard doesn’t change its spots. Get frustrated and allow this behaviour to affect me and my life
2. Take a deep breath, count to 10, mutter how much of a twat the person is and go about your day.
I want 2017 to be a positive year. I know for a fact it’s going to be a trying one that will push me to the limits.
How do you deal with morons? Do you find counting to 10 work’s for you?
I saw a notebook this week with the title “List of people I want to punch” which I thought was fantastic, I need that in my life!
Rant over! Here’s to a posistive bank holiday!
