Living Arrow’s 3/52- Celebrating Milestones

This week we are celebrating milestones for both kids. In the first year, there are so many milestones for babies to hit, It can be exhausting worrying about whether your child is hitting them at the right times.

In the first year, there are so many milestones for babies to hit, It can be exhausting worrying about whether your child is hitting them at the right times. When Max was a nipper I had all the time in the world to encourage him to hit the milestones like rolling and sitting.

Having two children means there is less time for fun and games. My attention and time are split in about fifteen different directions, I don’t always get the time to spend down on the floor with Kai, definitely not as much as I would like.

This is my biggest guilt right now and I’m sure other parents of more than one will be able to sympathise.

Kai’s Milestones (5 1/2 Months)

This week marks a huge milestone is rolling back to front. He has been trying to cheive this for ages. He even did it a few sneaky times without me noticing. Today he has been non-stop rolling, he seems pretty pleased with himself. Kai is my second child and unlike Max, I haven’t been in a huge rush for him to get moving. I know only too well that this is the begining, next he will be rolling in his cot and all over the floor.

He has also found his feet this week. Kai love’s nothing more than grabbing them or popping off his socks, the cheeky monkey!!!

Max’s Milestones: ( 2 years and 2 months)

This week has seen Max become a fearless toddler. On a spontaneous trip to the local swing park, he only wanted to play on the bog kids section, completely shunning the toddler section. His vocabulary has improved massively also. This week he has learnt the word wet and can associate it to the correct action. For example yesterday it was raining and he said mummy it’s wet.

Seeing our children grow and learn new skills is amazing, we are a very lucky family.

How have you celebrated your children this week?

I think it will be lovely to look back on how they’ve grown at the end of the year.

Oh god, I love when they talk! It’s so cute! Rolling over is a huge one, now he can roll well there’ll be no stopping him. One minute our son would be on one side of the room, then he’d appear on the other side… ARGH!! Sounds like you’ve had a great week.

Oh yikes talking is the next milestone for us and I can’t imagine little N having a voice to go with his personality, it all feels like it’s happening too fast. Sounds like you’ve had an amazing week though and definitely lots to celebrate!
