Kaiser is 3 months old!!!!

Kaiser is 3 months old today. 3 MONTHS!!!!! What the heck, I’m a broken record but please someone slow time down.
The pumpkin picking was just too much for the little guy, it’s such a hard life being a baby and just napping when you feel like it.
What’s he been up to?
I’m constantly amazed at how quickly Kai seems to be picking things up and I’m sure he’s doing things quicker than my other brainbox Max.
Something tells me that he’s probably doing it at the same rate it’s just I’ve forgotten because it was so long ago.
  • He is pretty much holding his head up all by himself (he seems to have been doing that from birth) the boy has one strong next. I doubt it will be too long before he can sit up unaided.
  • We had smiles and belly laughs pretty early on in the game, people try and say it’s wind. We know different, when was wind ever funny to a baby. Kai loves to smile and is at his happiest when your chatting and smiling at him. Sometimes when I’m telling Max off I can see Kai’s face change as he registers the change of tone in my voice. Maybe he’l get to know what serious mummy voice is v’s fun mum voice and not be a nightmare toddler like his big brother.
  • He loves to smile at Max and doesn’t have the fear of god in him whenever he senses Max is around. I think they’re going to be good pals (they bloody better be).
  • Kai is pretty much sleeping thru the night, he’s got a bit of a cold right now so some nights he does wake in the early hours.
  • I often catch him staring longingly at our food so I think (hope) he will take to baby lead weaning like the pro that Max did. I caught Max feeding Kai a biscuit the other day and to be honest Kai wasn’t that upset about it.
  •  We’re in the next size of clothes and its nice, kind of like getting a whole new wardrobe. Im slowly starting to get rid of the baby stuff that has been over running my house for 2 years. We don’t plan on having any more just yet if ever.
  • Kai is in his own room in the cot and has been since 12 weeks. It’s good for him because he was outgrowing the moses basket and its great for us to get a little space and normality back in our lives.
  • While Max used to wake up crying EVERY freaking morning Kai actually wakes up and smiles at you. It’s so true that no 2 babies are the same.
  • Bathtime- Kai loves a bath he splashes and kicks. He also loves a massage after only crying as it comes to the end. Once we have all got over our colds I will definately take him to the pool, he most certainly is a water baby.
  • Kai has so much personality already I can only imagine what he will be like once he’s older. He is also startong to grip his toys you can see he has so much curiosity about everything around him.
I’m sure I’ve missed lots of my list, he seems to grow and develop more and more every day. Even thou he’s starting to wake again at night, I really am making the most of him being little. I embrace the night feeds and the kisses and cuddles before he grows up and doesn’t want to be smothered in kisses by mummy.

They grow so damn fast don’t they. And I agree it’s so nice that it’s nice to get rid of all the baby clothes.

I’ve enjoyed reading back over the ones I did for Max. Sadly he was 3 months by the time I started blogging 🙂

I love these update posts! Such a lovely way to capture all those little things. I loved how he wakes up a smiles at you – my Max is two, and has always woken up crying too, never understood these people that say their baby just lies there cooing! I hope my next one will greet me with a smile! Thanks so much for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
