A letter of apology from a mummy to her toddler…Im sorry!

Dear Toddler,
I’m sorry:
  • That your life has been turned upside down with the arrival of your baby brother
  • That you now have to share us with Kai
  •  That you are frustrated and sometimes find it hard to communicate
  •  That when you say “please” a million times I still don’t understand what it is you want
  •  That I’m not a mind reader
  •  That you get upset every time I don’t guess quickly enough what it is you need
  • That I told you off for biting your baby brothers foot (actually I’m not sorry for that one)
  • That I had to wake you from your nap
  • That I put you upstairs for said nap
  • That sometimes when you wake I don’t know how to help because you can’t tell me whats wrong
  • That I have to keep telling you to keep your arms INSIDE THE CAR STRAPS!!
  • That I answered with a “WHAT” after you had called my name a thousand times while we were in the car
  • I’m sorry I muttered FFS under my breath before answering you
  • That I tried to stop you from drenching me and the bathroom floor when you was having a bath, I realise I was being unreasonable
  • That I stopped you from eating the crayons when we were crafting
  • That I made you sit in the pram next to your brother, thank you for throwing the almighty tantrum after your class today
I’m sure there is a million and one other things I should be sorry for.
Your growing more and more intelligent everyday and I understand this life can be frustrating for a toddler like yourself.
I promise it will get better.
One thing I will never be sorry for is keeping you safe and loving you unconditionally even when you are screaming in my face or throwing toy bricks at my head.
Much Love
Your Mummy xx

Oh hun I think we all do these things at one time or another. It’s hard not to feel sorry, or to stop feeling guilty. Being a mum is tough, but so rewarding.

It’s really not easy with 2, my mum had 6 I’m not sure how she didn’t have a mental breakdown wehn we were kids.
